Pacific AETC – Southern California

The Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center – Southern California Region (Pacific AETC – SoCal), led by UCLA, serves healthcare providers and organizations across Southern California.

As part of the national AIDS Education and Training Center Network, Pacific AETC – SoCal partners with healthcare organizations, public health agencies, community-based organizations, and health professions programs to strengthen the HIV workforce through training, technical assistance, clinical education, and capacity-building initiatives that improve systems of care and expand access to HIV prevention and treatment services.

To advance Southern California’s HIV systems of care through workforce development, technical assistance, and innovative training that responds to evolving regional and community needs.

Pacific AETC-SoCal supports healthcare teams in:

  • HIV prevention, including HIV testing, PrEP, and PEP
  • Linkage to care, retention in care, and viral suppression
  • HIV treatment and clinical management
  • STI prevention and syndemic approaches to care
  • Oral health integration and HIV care
  • Workforce development and provider support
  • Team-based and interprofessional models of care
  • Health equity and culturally responsive care

Through education, training, and organizational support, Pacific AETC – SoCal works to strengthen the capacity of healthcare providers and organizations to deliver high-quality HIV prevention, care, and treatment services throughout Southern California.
