The National HIV Curriculum is a no-cost, up-to-date educational resource for HIV diagnosis, treatment and prevention. The curriculum has 6 modules with 35 lessons and corresponding Question Bank topics offering 77.5 CME/CNE/CE, 57.5 pharmacology CE for APNs, or Certificates of Completion to document work. The newly reaccredited 4^th Edition, launched in September, offers 57.5 CPE and 47.5 IPCE credits for the first time. The site features 17 clinical screening tools and calculators, an in-depth antiretroviral medications section, the National HIV Curriculum Podcast, mini-lectures, symptom guides, and a learning group tool to invite students, assign content, and track progress.

In May, the site reached two milestones: 100,000 registered learners earned one million CE/Certificates of Completion. The National HIV Curriculum was developed and is managed by the University of Washington (UW) Infectious Diseases Education & Education (IDEA) Program. UW IDEA also created and manages the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)-funded National HIV PrEP Curriculum and three CDC-funded websites: the National STD Curriculum, Hepatitis C Online, and Hepatitis B Online. All five up-to-date sites offer free CME/CNE/CE and Certificates of Completion.

The National HIV Curriculum is an AIDS Education Training Center (AETC) Program supported by HRSA of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of an award totaling $1,172,990 with 0% financed with non-governmental sources.
