New On-Demand Webinar: Telehealth in HIV: Lessons Learned and Future Directions
Posted December 13, 2021Telehealth in HIV: Lessons Learned and Future Directions
In 2020, many public health facilities, clinics, and providers began using telehealth out of necessity due to the coronavirus pandemic. Telehealth served as a powerful tool for reducing exposure, extending the healthcare workforce, increasing access to health services, and decreasing isolation for many marginalized populations living with HIV. However, in some cases, it also exacerbated health inequities for people without access to broadband and telehealth-capable devices, and those with low digital literacy.
This webinar will examine some of the opportunities and challenges that telehealth presents as a tool for expanded healthcare access. What lessons can organizations learn from its implementation to carry forward into 2022? How have organizations and communities adapted new models for telehealth, including the use of more advanced technologies and hybrid healthcare? What remaining gaps need to be addressed to effectively deliver HIV care and treatment via telehealth in 2022?
This session is intended for HIV care providers, primary care providers, and family practitioners (including MD/DO, NP, PA) with HIV patients, nurses, pharmacists, medical case managers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals involved in HIV care and treatment.
CME/CE credits are not offered for this on-demand webinar.
