Introducing the Learning Collaborative

As part of this initiative, the Learning Collaborative is a one-year program designed to elevate and support a cohort of Black men leaders across the HIV workforce, from emerging to experienced. Launching with a kickoff event on March 21 – 22, 2025, supporting Brothers of the Desert Wellness Summit, this collaborative offers a space to further develop leadership skills, exchange strategies, and build a network of peers committed to advancing health and racial equity in the HIV field.

What Can You Expect?

Kickoff Event: A dynamic introduction at the Brothers of the Desert summit in March 2025, setting the stage for community building, program initiation, and shared goals.
Monthly Sessions: Interactive workshops on leadership, career advancement, and managing systemic barriers.
Networking Opportunities: Build valuable connections with peers and experienced leaders in the field.
Mentorship: Opportunities to connect with others, share insights, and receive support.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome Black men (inclusive of cis, trans, and non-binary experience) of the African Diaspora in the HIV and sexual health workforce, including:

  • Healthcare providers
  • Public health professionals
  • Social workers
  • Community Health Workers
  • Other Non-Clinical Professionals
