Funding Opportunity: Project Cornerstone Request for Application

The California Department of Public Health, Office of AIDS has announced the release of a Request for Application (RFA) funding opportunity titled, Project Cornerstone. Funding for Project Cornerstone demonstration projects was established in California Health and Safety Code (HSC) 121295 and will support the development of four, three-year public health demonstration projects. Selected applicants will be awarded through a competitive award process to provide innovative, evidence-informed approaches to improve the health and well-being of people living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), fifty years of age and older (PLWH50+).

OA has determined any entity in any county shall be eligible to apply to operate a demonstration project who can:

  1. Demonstrate experience and expertise in providing culturally appropriate services to the most vulnerable and underserved older people living with HIV, including, but not limited to Black, Indigenous, and people of color, and
  2. Demonstrate the capacity to ensure that the multidisciplinary clinical and non-clinical needs of older people living with HIV are assessed and addressed.
