The CFAR program has established a national virtual community of practice for pharmacy personnel who are providing/interested in providing pharmacy-based PrEP.

How do you join the Pharmacy-based PrEP Community of Practice?

Step 1
Complete the Welcome Survey.

You will be asked the following information as part of your survey:

  1. Your first and last name
  2. Your title and/or credentials (For example: Pharmacist, PharmD or Pharmacy Technician, CPhT )
  3. The name of the pharmacy, hospital, etc where you work
  4. State where you work

Feel free to send a message to preppharmacy@uw.edu describing your situation if you are interested in joining the Pharmacy-based PrEP Community of Practice but are not quite sure if you would benefit from participation.

Step 2

After you complete the survey, we will send you a link to the Virtual Community of Practice where you can you can begin accessing resources, speaking with other pharmacy staff who are interested in this topic an connecting with content experts to learn more. The Community of Practice forum is Microsoft Teams. If you already have a Microsoft Teams account associated with the email you use to communicate with us, the Pharmacy-based PrEP Community of Practice will just be added to that account as a new Team. If you do not have an account with Microsoft Teams, then the link will first prompt you to download the app and then you will have access the Community of Practice.

Why do we ask for this information from you before admitting you to the Community of Practice?

We ask for information about your professional background both to ensure that our community of practice is a safe space for professionals in this field to learn and grow from each other and to help us identify the resources and content experts that will be most helpful for our community members.The state where you work is important to help us understand our geographic reach as a program and also to gather state-specific resources where necessary.
