HIV Literacy & Prevention in Older Adults (HLA) Conference

Join a virtual conference Tuesday, May 31st from 11am-4pm centered around advocacy in the field of HIV & aging. This year’s theme is self-advocacy & empowerment.

There will be speakers from GMHC, the NYS Office of Aging, the National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC), Settlement Health, VOCAL-NY, and the Human Rights Campaign.

11:15am- Opening Plenary w/ John Cochran of the NYS Office of Aging & Patricia Shelton of Settlement Health

12:00pm- Self Advocacy in Health Care w/ Mark Milano of GMHC

12:40pm- Advocating for Benefits w/ Alexandra Remmel of GMHC

2:00pm- Community Organizing w/ Luke Grandis of VOCAL-NY

2:35pm- Closing Plenary w/ Tori Cooper of the HRC & Cecilia Dennis of NMAC
