Pacific AETC Program Update

Pacific AETC is undergoing major changes that will impact our services across Arizona, California, Hawai’i, Nevada, and the six U.S.-affiliated Pacific Island Jurisdictions.

Due to a significant funding reduction starting July 1, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to end all eight of our long-standing Local Partnerships. This change comes after receiving only a partial award for Year 2 of our current grant cycle, with no guarantee of additional funding. To continue our mission of strengthening the HIV workforce, we are restructuring into four broader regions:

  • Northern California
  • Southern California
  • Arizona/Nevada
  • Hawai’i & Pacific Jurisdictions

Though we’ll be operating with fewer resources, Pacific AETC remains committed to delivering high-quality training and support—virtually, in-person, and on-demand. We will continue our work with providers, clinics, and academic institutions to ensure care remains strong, especially in rural and underserved communities.
