Upcoming Webinar: Primary Care Considerations for Patients Using Methamphetamines

This session is part of NAHEWD’s national webinar series Bridging HIV and SUD: Innovations in the Field. The series will highlight various innovative models and approaches to treating substance use disorder (SUD) in people at risk for and living with HIV.

The presenter will discuss evidence-based treatments and clinical pearls to help patients struggling with methamphetamine use. The learning objectives are:

1. Discuss challenges in communication with patients using methamphetamine.
2. Recognize the intersection of methamphetamine use and increasing HIV infections.
3. Clarify the pathophysiology of addiction-related to methamphetamine use.
4. Review evidenced-based interventions for methamphetamine use disorder.
