Upcoming Webinar: HIV Prevention in LGBTQIA+ Communities: PrEP and Beyond (July 7, 2021)

This is an event in the MidAtlantic AETC’s summer virtual event series focusing on the LGBTQIA+ communities. These 90 minute zoom sessions on Wednesdays in June, July, and August will explore provider self-care, trauma, stigma, HIV, and race in LGBTQIA+ communities and LGBTQIA+ identifying healthcare professionals.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the importance of prevention of HIV for the LGBTQIA+ community, including biomedical prevention of HIV
  • Discuss the role of the LGBTQIA+ health professional in improving access to care and interest in PrEP in LGBTQIA+ communities
  • Describe key resources for providing the best standard of care for HIV prevention for LGBTQIA+ identifying patients
