AETC National HIV Curriculum (NHC)
Through the leadership of David Spach, MD, and HRSA HAB colleagues, the NHC offers free CME/CEU training for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and pharmacists, and is appropriate for clinicians of all levels – from novice to expert – as well as health profession faculty and students. It provides modular learning in any order and offers clinical screening tools and calculators, a clinical care question bank, an image library and tools for educators, interactive self-assessment tools, and much more. The goal of this curriculum is to provide training for healthcare providers and trainers of healthcare providers to increase their knowledge on HIV/HCV co-infection among people of color in the U.S. and its territories. It was developed by a team of AETC Program faculty and staff. Each section, or core competency, is available in PowerPoint slide format which can be easily adapted for training and sharing. Links to additional resources and more information are included throughout. Link to HIV/HCV Co-infection curriculum.
