SAMHSA free training on Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

June 3, 2016

SAMHSA is collaborating with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to provide training in medication assisted treatment (MAT) for physicians in your state. These free trainings will include the required 8-hour (4 hours online and 4 hours face-to-face) waiver training that is needed for physicians to prescribe and dispense buprenorphine for the treatment of opioid use disorders as well as the other FDA approved medications methadone and naltrexone. As a result of this training, our goal is to see a significant increase in the number of patients accessing necessary substance use disorder treatment.
