JANAC HIV & Aging special issue

The Journal of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (JANAC) is going to have a special issue on HIV and Aging.

The Journal of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (JANAC) plans to publish a special issue on
the topic of HIV & Aging in the spring of 2019. We are seeking feature articles (including original research and systematic reviews), as well as practice briefs, program briefs, commentaries, and case studies. The special issue is especially interested in obtaining manuscripts in the following areas:

  • Psychosocial aspects of aging with HIV
  • Long-term survivors as a special population aging with HIV
  • Older persons becoming newly infected
  • Prevention among older adults
  • Promoting successful aging with HIV
  • Aging and treatment adherence
  • Stigma perspectives related to aging and HIV
  • Home health/long term care readiness for a growing population of PLWH
  • Cognition and aging with HIV
  • Co-morbidities and aging with HIV
  • Special pharmacological considerations associated with aging among PLWH
