February 7 is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

February 3, 2017

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), compared with other races and ethnicities, African Americans account for a higher proportion of new HIV diagnoses, those living with HIV, and those ever diagnosed with AIDS. On February 7, National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day events will be held across the nation to promote HIV education, testing, community involvement, and treatment in black communities.
