CDC Updates Nonoccupational Postexposure Prophylaxis (nPEP) Guidelines
April 29, 2016
CDC has updated the nonoccupational postexposure prophylaxis (nPEP) guidelines. The guidelines provide health care providers in the United States with recommendations on the use of antiretroviral nPEP and on other aspects of case management for people with isolated exposure outside health care settings to blood, genital secretions, or other potentially infectious body fluids that might contain HIV.
Visit the AIDSinfo guidelines portal to view the updated nPEP guidelines, as well as other HIV treatment and prevention guidelines.
