CDC Resources on Drug-Resistant Gonorrhea

CDC’s Division of STD Prevention (DSTDP) has monitored antibiotic-resistant gonorrhea trends for the past 30 years to help ensure effective treatment of gonorrhea; however, resistance to standard antibiotics is making the infection increasingly harder to treat. With support from the White House National Strategy for Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria (CARB), we are arming state and local health departments with the tools they need to stay a step ahead of this public health threat
