AIDSinfo Releases Fact Sheet on Ibalizumab, a New HIV Medicine to Treat Adults Who Have Limited Treatment Options

On March 6, 2018, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved ibalizumab (brand name: Trogarzo), a new antiretroviral medicine to treat HIV infection in adults:
- who have taken several HIV medicines in the past, and
- who have a strain of HIV that is resistant to many HIV medicines, and
- whose HIV infection is not well controlled by ongoing treatment with other HIV medicines.
