HIV Learning Network

The Pacific AETC’s HIV Learning Network (HIVLN) is a free, longitudinal telehealth HIV training and consultation program for HIV clinical care teams and individual clinicians in Pacific Region. HIVLN provides bimonthly live, virtual sessions on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month from 12:00-1:00 pm Pacific Time. All sessions are CME accredited.

The goal of the program is to provide is to develop an informed community of interdisciplinary HIV clinical care teams to provide high quality HIV and HIV-related care, and improve health outcomes for the most vulnerable people with HIV who are residing in historically low-resourced and underserved communities in the region. While we aim to expand the HIV workforce within the Pacific region, the sessions are open to providers across the US.

What We Do:

  • Connect community providers with HIV experts in the region to strengthen the HIV care system
  • Provide ongoing learning opportunities to build capacity, expand knowledge, and explore useful resources.
  • Disseminate and discuss the newest evidence-based guidelines and treatment advances in HIV care
  • Share challenging cases among a diverse community of peer providers with written recommendations of clinical approaches to care from HIVLN faculty.

While the focus of our sessions is often clinical, HIVLN encourages participation from HIV care teams made up of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, dentists. social workers, case managers, mental health workers, health educators, medical assistants, navigators, outreach workers and other care team members working together to improve health outcomes for people vulnerable to or with HIV.
