The Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center (PAETC) – Los Angeles Area and the Los Angeles County HIV Mental Health Task Force invite nurses and mental health providers to Coping with Hope: Learning from the Past and Innovating for the Future to End the HIV Epidemic, a free two-day webinar on June 23 and 24, 2022.

The two-day webinar is designed to assist nurses and mental health providers in integrating HIV care and services while learning from the past and innovating for the future. The webinar will address the needs of patients and clients in the fourth decade of the HIV epidemic and emphasize the need to enhance skills and referral networks to help patients cope and achieve better health outcomes by remaining in high-quality care.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

At the end of the two-day webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Discuss the importance of innovations to help end the HIV epidemic 
  2. Review how improvements and innovations can also increase health disparities unless equity is addressed 
  3. Identify one thing to do differently in one’s own HIV work to innovate and help end the HIV epidemic 
  4. Connect clients to mental health, housing, and other resources to improve health and HIV outcomes 

CONTINUING EDUCATION
The Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center – Los Angeles Area is accredited to provide the following:
Continuing LCSW and MFT Education Credit. Courses meet the qualification for a maximum of 4.0 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Provider #PCE 128280. Continuing Nursing Education Credit. The course is approved for a maximum of 4.0 contact hours by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Provider #15484. Providers should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. *Pharmacists registered in CA may use BRN CEs as per their governing board. Note: We will not be offering CADC, CATC, and CAS credits this year.
