The Bay Area AETC has created an online HIV 101 training for nurses who work in the jails. The training takes 2-3 hours, but can be stopped and started as needed. Training topics include: Global and local epidemiology HIV/AIDS Terminology How HIV is transmitted and prevented Stigma related to HIV and Incarceration How to screen for HIV infection HIV Treatment Standard Precautions for jail settings Practical implementation information from your SF Jail colleagues
