    Housed at Cardea Services, the East Bay AIDS Education and Training Center (EB AETC) offers education and training programs specifically designed to improve HIV/AIDS testing, linkage, care and prevention services for providers and organizations located in a region that is both highly impacted by HIV/AIDS and experiencing significant health disparities. EB AETC specializes in providing capacity building assistance to providers, health care teams, clinics, community based organizations and corrections facilities to implement, expand, or improve HIV prevention, testing, care and treatment programs. Mini-residencies are available for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses who desire additional training in HIV/AIDS care, including pediatric services. Education and technical assistance is offered on an array of specific topics, including: co-morbidities, treatment regimens, PrEP/PEP, population specific issues for people living with HIV/AIDS, patient-centered medical home development for HIV clinics, and the impact of ACA implementation on providers and patients.
